Global Citizenship Education Teacher Institute

August 2, 2016 @ 9:00 am - August 4, 2016 @ 4:30 pm

The Saskatchewan Council for International Cooperation (SCIC) is hosting a three-day institute on Global Citizenship Education – Pedagogy, Methodology and Resources, in partnership with the STF for their Summer Professional Growth opportunities. SCIC would like to invite you to participate in the institute.

It is an opportunity that will introduce participants to select theories and practical resources and tools that will widen their understanding of the global citizenship education and international development issues, while at the same enabling teachers to critically and productively interact with both their immediate and global educational and social development environments. Participants will engage with theories and practices that broaden the notion of “global citizenship” beyond international awareness, toward an understanding and enactment of the rights and responsibilities of each person to contribute to an equitable, sustainable and just world.
