Have A Heart Day – Letter Signing Campaign

February 8, 2016 @ 8:00 am - February 12, 2016 @ 5:00 pm

Join us all week to learn more about the current inequality in funding for services for First Nations children on reserve, and what you can do to effect change. Tables will be set up from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, along with many #HaveAHeartDay events and activities!
If you would like to help volunteer during the week, please message us and we will send you a link to schedule your volunteer hours! The Kids need UR help!
#HaveAHeart Day is a is a child and youth-led reconciliation campaign that brings together caring Canadians to help ensure First Nations children have the services they need to grow up safely at home, get a good education, be healthy, and be proud of who they are.
After a 9 year case, the Human Rights Tribunal has found that providing less funds for First Nations child welfare, Canada is guilty of racially discriminating against First Nations children, and they must work to immediately enact changes to address current policies and practice. Please come out to write letters to encourage government to change the daily inequalities faced by First Nations children!
