Transgender Day of Remembrance

November 20, 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Transgender Day of Remembrance 2015

The Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) occurs annually on November 20. It’s a day to memorialize those who have been killed as a result of transphobia (the hatred or fear of transgender and gender non-conforming people) and to bring attention to the continued violence endured by the transgender community.

We will be holding a TDOR service in Regina as follows:

Friday, November 20 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
Unitarian Fellowship Centre, 2700 College Avenue, Regina, SK (on the corner of College Avenue & Angus Street).

This is a potluck event, we invite people to bring food and beverage (non-alcoholic) so that everyone has an opportunity to eat something before and after the service. There will be speeches, a candle lighting, a reading of names of victims and an opportunity for people to come up and speak in the later portion of the service if they so choose.
