YWCA Coldest Night Of The Year
February 21, 2016 @ 4:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Coldest Night of the Year is a nationwide event organized in more than 80 communities across Canada to bring awareness and raise funds to support homelessness and poverty programs.
This winter the YWCA is excited to be leading the Regina Coldest Night of the Year event on February 20th, 2016.
The fun and family-friendly event will take place in downtown Regina with a 2km, 5km or 10km walk through Downtown and the Heritage neighbourhood. It will be a cold, but entertaining walk as local businesses and partners provide warm-up stations, refreshments and entertainment during the walk.
Upon completion of the walk, participants will be invited to stay for presentations, prizes and a light meal to celebrate the community support for Coldest Night of the Year.
Money raised will help YWCA Regina programs bring hundreds of women and children in from the cold. Every year, YWCA My Aunt’s Place homeless shelter houses more than 400 women and 200 children.
