Amnesty Movie Night – Highway of Tears

Walking Together: Day of Education for Reconciliation

Location: Faculty of Education, University of Regina Regina has been chosen as one of the cities to host a Walking Together Day of Education for Reconciliation event. This event is to address the Truth and Reconciliation Recommendations put out by the TRC. 1500 students from across southern Saskatchewan will be attending and many volunteers are needed! Glen Anaquod Tipi Raising Competition

The Tipi Raising Competition was initiated by the late Cultural & Traditional Advisor Glen Anaquod, from the Muscowpetung First Nation. The Anaquod family previously participated in Tipi Raising Competitions held during Treaty Four celebrations. It was Advisor Anaquod's long standing wish to involve the University campus community, students and staff by hosting such a competition. The competition is open to the university community, high school students, and the general public.

Photo Journalist Daniella Zalcman, author of Signs of Your Identity, will speak about her project in which Saskatchewan Indian residential school survivors are shown through multiple exposure portraits. This work was also the recipient of the 2016 FotoEvidence Book Award. She will present on Monday, January 30 at 4:00 p.m. in the Teaching Preparation Centre (Ed 228).
